Bushcraft and Survival Skills

Bushcraft and Survival Skills

Bushcraft and Survival Skills

Our fire making sessions teach students the fundamental methods of creating heat as the first stage of making a flame. Once they have the flame mastered, we divulge into a world of natural fuel materials and how to lay them to make the best, low maintenance fire possible. Gathering tinder and kindling from the woods will add another team element to the task as the group work together to create the perfect survival fire.

Shelter building in the woods is the next survival step. We will teach the group about the best materials to use and how to put them together in an appropriate spot to make a great structure. Once they have laid out their design, they will use their team skills to build a shelter that will keep out the wind and the rain....but not necessarily all the bugs!
